The Governor Shall Establish The Salaries.
Requirements
The board shall consist of five fill-time members and five pro tempore members appointed by the governor with the consent of the Senate. The full-time members serve five year terms. The members of the board shall be resident citizens of the state and may not hold any other office in the government of the United States, this state or any other state, or any county government or municipal corporation within a state. A member may not engage in any occupation or business inconsistent with his duties. The governor shall appoint from a list of five applicants recommended by the Commission on Criminal and Juvenile Justice (does not apply on reappointments). The governor shall select one of the members to serve as chair.
